Advocacy and fundraising are also main activities in Japan.
AMURT Japan advocates the reality of the field of developing countries through organizing event/workshop about our projects. Coordinating fundraising activities support sustainable project implementation.

Workshops

African Beads "KAZURI" workshop
AMURT Japan organizes accessory making workshop using KAZURI beads in cooperation with the Maeji Company limited. We are aiming to inform about the situation in Africa. In the workshop, we introduce not only Kenyan but also other African countries’ cultures and lives.

Kazuri is handmade, hand-painted ceramic jewelry from Nairobi, Kenya. Two hundred local single mothers are employed by Kazuri. The late lady Susan Wood started to teach the skills to make and paint the beads to struggling single mothers. She founded Kazuri in 1975.

Studay Tour to Sri Lanka
AMURT Japan is organizing the study tour to Sri Lanka every summer to give people a chance to see and understand the present situation of Tsunami damaged area in the South.

Send Volunteers
AMURT Japan is sending volunteers to Sri Lanka to support AMURT International's projects.

Teaching Engllish Volunteer in India, Sudan and Sri Lanka programme will start in 2008.
